Pankh - a movie that can easily be categorized as new, bold and innovative cinema; a story about a facet that is not given much thought to. It basically deals with the lead protagonist in search of his sexual orientation. Though there have been many movies that have dealt with homosexuality and bisexuality in the recent past, but a subject like this is a first and has definitely got the audiences standing up and taking notice of the same.

The story goes like this-the lead protagonist has been acting since childhood, and in spite of being a boy has been made to play the role of a girl time and again. His acting gets lauded to the extent of him getting a national award for the roles he played in his childhood .But now that he' s grown up he wishes to see his dream of becoming an actor turn into reality and repeat history with his performances yet again. However, at the very advent of his career, something starts bothering him and that something turns out to be him questioning his sexuality. Tormented by society about his sexuality, the way he deals with it all and the questions that he starts asking himself is what this movie gets the audiences digging into.

The movie is well made, well directed, and well acted.

Pankh worth a watch for all those who enjoy parallel cinema, and movies which are dark and deal with a different genre altogether.

Pankh sucks.. But it has Bipasha in 9 roles. after 9 Bipashas and 12 Priyankas a man would obviously feel heaven
