Let us put us across a bitter fact before you. Ramzaan and pre-diwali periods are considered the worst period in the movie industry to release movies.
Despite the same fact, movies get released and keep tanking at the box-office without causing a stir. Why the same happens is a strategy far understandable from beyond.
Nevertheless, time has become ripe to say you again; 3 more movies have released yet again and are sure to sink at the ticket window leaving cash registers intact.
Okay, folks! What do you think are the main ingredients of a movie to work no matter how bad or good the cast is? Yes, you have obviously made the right guessing. It' s nothing but the ' content' of the movie that really matter to turn the wave in terms of the collection. The ' content' means good yet captivating script, apt screenplay, and remarkable performances from the protagonists, if it' s a love story then melodious music, exemplary background score. Phew! The list is endless to scribble out here.
Once these targets are achieved by the producers, the theme, idea the director wants to put through must get executed on the screen then only the final product would get customized and result in success.
Having said that, the new outing of the weak, Nakshatra belongs to that category of the movies that fails to draw parallels from any of its earlier benchmarked movies and has absolutely nothing new to offer.
The main culprit in bringing the house down is nothing but the non captivating story of the film that ultimately fails the soul of the same to kick off ever.
Nakshatra, as it seems to be like a perfect thriller from its teasers being shown on the television, is from the fact of originality and thus what comes our as the final thing on the silver screen is nothing but a cold meat drafted in faulty flavors, enough to wimp off the sheen.
Sometimes, novel ideas goes haywire and must say Nakshatra, which could have been a scintillating tale, ends as an insane take on the genre it talks; thriller.
Nakshatra is supposed to be a thriller and unfortunately the script writer fails to understand the demand of the theme and thus, takes the viewers for granted and the result is for everyone to see; a big disappointment in the term of content and the way executed.
Final take? Nakshatra has no chances at all! Thumbs Down!
Let' s scrutinize the basic plot of this beleaguered movie in the words of none other than Mr. Taran Adarsh, a noted film critic.
"Carelessly scripted Nakshatra suffers because the writer takes the viewer for granted. Besides, if you' re attempting a suspense thriller - which Nakshatra is - the identity of the culprit should catch you by complete surprise, when the mask is taken off. But the villain' s identity can be guessed midway through the film, which only goes to prove how fragile the written material is."
"When an opportunity to write a script for a movie comes to Ajay [Shubh], an aspiring screen writer, he is thrilled, more by the thought of finally being able to prove himself to Jiya [Sabina Sheema], the girl he loves. A robbery being the main theme of the plot, Ajay works hard at getting the script right. Just when everything seems perfect, Ajay is arrested for a crime he hasn' t committed."
"Sharad [Anupam Kher], a family friend, promises to bail him out as soon as possible. But the mystery deepens when a spate of murders start taking place."
Hmmm… seems like a disciplined attempt but only in the paper as already earlier told that the execution could not be exactly achieved as to whatever was planned to be conveyed.
Ah, what to talks about performances of the leads of such a movie that restricts them to grow as actors. Yes, it is unfortunate to say that all the actors of the movie hams and hams it so bad that you want to scream aloud; ' don' t you guys know what acting or how to act' .
No one is able to pull off a commanding performance. There is actually very little that could have been done by director like Mohan Savalkar as he is always restrained by a super-faulty screenplay whenever he wants to raise the bar of the flick.
Yet, there is only one silver lining for this movie in the form of its efficiently enacted chasing sequences, but till then it is too late for viewers to wake up from their sleeps and notice the final unfolding on the screen.
On the whole, Given the sour screenplay of the movie and lull period before Diwali setting in for new releases this week, Nakshatra emerges out as a dull product and do not have any chances to recover even its production costs.
From the box-office point of view, Nakshatra would be welcomed with empty cine plexes and is destined to bite the dust as the day passes. Thumbs Down!
Rating: 1/2 out of 5 (Disaster)
Verdict: Stay away from Nakshatra and keep yourself blessed!
